This is us


This is us

It took me so many of these to get where I wanted to be that I call this self portrait "This is us" It took me about a month to get to this one. I know it is not perfect but it is not wimpy and I think it is closer to my goal than I have been before. 

What I have learned so far : 
I can not paint from a place of fear. I have to paint from a place of faith and perhaps even prayer. Not to get to heavy....

      Thank you Bruce....I have struggle with mid-tones for quite some time now. I think this was a break through painting for me.
