Voted off the island

OK...so I have about twenty of these. They start off great until I move one step beyond this and then all hell breaks loose. I have tried painting upside down, pretending I am painting a cat or a dog, using colors that I only choose through my view finder and have no local color references. I am at a loss. I am not asking for sympathy I know how lucky I am to have these opportunities. My hope is to paint a picture that breaks me out of where I currently am.
