Back to shape by shape instead of petal by petal. I just can't feel the peony unless I find the structure and feel the push and pull of the blossom.
I guess I don't have the personality required for close work.

And this one, with all the hard edges has a graphic quality I find appealing too. I'd say, paint the way you enjoy painting the most. The results are delicious either way!
