Three Steps to Paint a Sheltie


Step One...Mass your darkest elements to create a pattern that is connected not spotty. 





Step Two...paint in the midtones. Making sure that no color is darker in value than what has already been established in Step One. 





Step Three....add final washes and background.

    fabulous! and interesting: I always thought watercolors were painted light to dark - may have to try this way...
