I am posting two pictures of Isabella. The one pictured above was today's effort. I knew I had gotten confusing value shapes yesterday and I felt unsettled about my effort. I had to try again and stick to the strategy I know works. ( from my Three Step Watercolor book).
But I wanted you to see the difference. between number 1 and number 2.
Value shapes are so important. This one looks like it was cut out of a separate piece of paper and glued on.
Not good.
