This is a return of a peony I did a couple of days ago. I got the values right but my good friend in Boston Diane told me she didn't like it. It had bothered me too . So I lifted off the blue in the middle which read as "dirty" and put in a more saturated red. 

Now I think it works. 

What I have learned so far: 

Listen and learn , make adjustments. Move on.
