The Emily project continues

The Emily project continues. I think I am plugging in color better here but clearly I have a long way to go on those mid-tones. I am enjoying the experimenting but as usual am impatient with the results.

What I have learned so far:
Every new skill has this learning bell curve to it. Don't fight the inevitable ...just keep working.

    I think this has a wonderful "Jo " look to it and I would try not to lose that. Forget other artists work - keep just doing it your way, over and over, the learning curve will end with a unique and wonderful Jo Mackenzie style on faces. I saw you do it with flowers and animals.

      Those are the best words of encouragement ever. I will trust your faith and me and keep the Emily project going. Last night I was ready to bury it along with my ego. Ha!
