An art buddy and I are both trying to paint this picture of Emily. I am using the Value Finder she is using her years of practice and wise judgment. My bets are on her.
What I have learned so far :
Start with the lightest darks you can think of because you can't lighten it up later.
Or, as David says, start with the mids! This is a good photo ref to work from.
ReplyDeleteWithout David's advice through you Dana I would still be back where I was at the beginning of the month. I think things are going in the right direction now.
